In general, trust between a user and an organization is established using shared secrets like a username and a password for which some of the user’s personal data is stored within the organization’s data “silo”. This scenario repeats for every organization, app, or website the user logs on.
To tackle the shared secrets between a user and an organization, an Identity Provider (IdP) can be introduced to issue the digital credential and provide a single sign-on experience to log in with multiple organizations, thus reducing sharing of personal data.

Along with that, Persistent’s Identity SDK also offers verification services to validate the attestations, selective data sharing with zero knowledge proofs, portability of credentials between devices, and revocation of attestations.
