The client, a leading retail and wholesale pharmacy brand, is the second-largest pharmacy store chain in the US, with over 9000 retail outlets. With a 121-year heritage of serving millions of customers, it specializes in health and wellness products and filling prescriptions.
The Challenge
With a vast network of retail stores across the US, the client had a large footprint of legacy enterprise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution deployments. The client wanted to migrate their legacy IGA solution to a next generation converged identity governance platform to offer a single identity source, accelerate zero trust and ensure governance for their corporate and store users. The client was looking for a partner who could help them execute a seamless migration that would guarantee minimum downtime and the least disruption to end-users and business applications.
The Solution
As identity governance platforms manage access to business critical applications, it is imperative for organizations to execute the transformation rapidly with minimum downtime. Keeping this in mind, Persistent worked with the client to define a co-existence strategy for the legacy IGA solution and a modern target platform — Saviynt. This was to provide a seamless experience for end-users and identity services while being cost-effective. Persistent leveraged Saviynt to simplify identity governance and grant seamless access to end users while ensuring utmost compliance. Having extensive experience in migrating identity platforms, Persistent used its proprietary Unity Governance tool, an automation framework, to accelerate the migration of users, applications and relationships from the legacy IGA system to Saviynt. Leveraging the tool’s assessment and the migration reports, Persistent enabled a controlled migration to the new IGA platform, providing the client with documented analysis and information.
The Outcome
Persistent innovative and technology-driven approach to IGA migration allowed the client organization to reduce identity verification efforts by 50%. The client also benefited from 40% reduction in the migration time and cost while migrating 200K Users and 20+ Applications to Saviynt with minimal disruption.
