The Challenge
The client was challenged by multiple disparate legacy systems that made data management difficult and error-prone. It was looking for a new solution to streamline the registration process and the overall management of cooperative customers to provide real-time visibility of harvesting status to all users. The client also wanted farmers to have remote access to their accounts so that they could add multiple accounts under a single registration and switch between them.
The Solution
The agricultural cooperative firm partnered with Persistent to address all its technological needs. Persistent implemented a single hub application that provided customers access to all activities around agronomy, animal nutrition, and grain for their accounts. We deployed a low-code development platform and took 12 weeks to build the solution.
Though the solution was initially web-only, the client wanted a mobile app version, and we accomplished the same in just 4-5 days with builtin features like chat, map, and voice. With the new solution, customers could now view their deliveries and grain contracts on a unified screen.
