The client is a leading US-based supplier of on-demand infrastructure exchanges to the insurance, financial, and healthcare industries catering to global insurance companies, carriers, brokers, and insurance professionals. With a market capitalization of $ 1.6 billion, the NASDAQ-listed company operates out of 50+ offices across 8 countries.
The Challenge
The client was developing an automated solution for annuity compliance for one of the leading fintech solutions providers in the US. However, their existing hosted services provider failed to provide the infrastructure required to handle on-demand transactions and support the scale and agility that an application deployment demands. Moreover, the client had concerns about data security.
The Solution
The client wanted Persistent to be their cloud partner and host, monitor, maintain, support, upgrade, backup, and secure their licensed software as part of the cloud transformation. This was critical for addressing issues around application uptime and data security.
Persistent provided hosting, infrastructure and managed services and handled services onboarding and steady state monitoring and provisioning of all Azure resources deployed, including Azure Lighthouse, Azure Bastion, and Azure Key Vault. Persistent also hosted several of the client’s applications, including the front-end server, the middle tier app server, the SQL Server, and supporting Azure resources using Azure tenant instance.
The Outcome
The client recorded significant benefits by moving to the cloud. Azure hosting and scalable on-demand infrastructure resulted in a higher application uptime for the client. The client enhanced maintenance by automating software updates, patching and backups. They were also able to strengthen data security with secured applications and robust infrastructure management as well as IT Service Management (ITSM) support services.
